Why Should I Conserve?

People in our area of Texas have recognized the importance of water conservation for many years. As a result, they helped create the High Plains Water District in 1951 to protect, preserve and conserve the groundwater resources in the region. HPWD has monitored aquifer levels for over 70 years, and it is apparent that aquifers in the area are very slow to recharge. To help prolong the groundwater supplies, we promote water conservation among many user groups, including homeowners. Here are some tips to help you conserve at home.
