Tax Rate
In accordance with Texas Water Code 36.154, the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District (HPWD) Board of Directors prepares and approves an annual budget in August. This includes an estimated tax rate or fee revenues required for the maintenance and operation of the Water District.
2025 Tax Rate Information
The 2025 tax rate will be determined at the September 9, 2025 meeting. The tax rate calculation worksheet and other supporting documents are now available. The proposed tax rate will DECREASE the total tax levy.
